This online training course will prepare the Screening Test Technician (STT) to conduct Department of Transportation (DOT) alcohol screening tests using Alcohol Screening Devices (ASDs).  This comprehensive online training course offers the STT student the most thorough and convenient online training available. As required, this online training course follows the DOT Model Course for STT qualification training. The Trainer portion of the course prepares the learner to act as the qualified monitor/trainer for other STT students on their alcohol screening device (ASD). This course details the DOT-required procedural training for STTs including: - Alcohol Screening Device (ASD) Methodology - Preparing for the alcohol test - Conducting an alcohol screening test - Obstacles to completing a test - Information disclosure, confidentiality, and record-keeping This course offers a detailed study of the DOT rules (procedures training), giving the Screening Test Technician thorough knowledge of conducting alcohol screening tests as an STT under the 49 CFR Part 40 Rules and following the DOT Model Course for STTs.FREE BONUS MATERIAL!  Included in the course are several resource documents available for download including: Alcohol Screening Test Procedure Checklist, Mock Tests Documentation Form (for the STT's proficiency demonstration), a fill-in Memorandum For Record, and even a blank Certificate for the Trainer/Monitor to sign after the STT student completes their proficiency demonstration with the Trainer!(Note: This course covers units 1 - 6 of the DOT Model Course required for STT qualification training.  The STT student is responsible for providing and paying for their own Trainer to complete the requirements of Unit 7 (the device proficiency training). Read all Terms & Conditions. It is strongly recommended that the webcam proficiency demonstration class be completed no later than 30 days from the date the DOT Collector student started Component 1 (the online Specimen Collector procedures course). We will use ZOOM.US for the webcam (live session). Please ensure that you have an excellent internet connection for the session and a working webcam and microphone. ALL PAPERWORK MUST BE PRINTED IN ADVANCE, and READY at the start of class (no exceptions); and all supplies in front of you at the start of class. Failure to comply will result in removal from the class. Thereafter, the full training fee must be paid again to reschedule.
