The student successfully completing both components is trained/certified to conduct DOT urine specimen collections for 5 years, and to act as the Qualified Monitor (trainer) able to lead and oversee the hands-on proficiency demonstration (mock collections) for trainees within their own organization/clinic/facility. This online Collector Training Course (Train-The-Trainer) includes the full DOT Specimen Collector training course (11 Modules), plus the Collector Train-the-Trainer Module. This course also includes all documents and forms from the Collector training course, plus many additional documents/forms for the Monitor/Trainer to utilize in training others.
This qualification training course includes the DOT-required information such as:
(1) All steps necessary to complete a collection correctly and the proper completion and transmission of the CCF;
(2) “Problem” collections (e.g., situations like “shy bladder” and attempts to tamper with a specimen);
(3) Fatal flaws, correctable flaws, and how to correct problems in collections; and
(4) The collector's responsibility for maintaining the integrity of the collection process, ensuring the privacy of employees being tested, ensuring the security of the specimen, and avoiding conduct or statements that could be viewed as offensive or inappropriate.
This extremely thorough course also includes a bonus module that gets the collector thinking by presenting challenging collection scenarios to engage the collector student's thought processes and build confidence in handling challenging real-world situations.
The DOT requires that Specimen Collectors repeat their training every five years -- both parts of qualification training: (1) Rules and regulations training along with training on proper collection procedures and documentation in all collection situations; (2) as well as the proficiency demonstration (5 mock collections).
Bonus Module (#11): This module offers a study of several real life scenarios that a professional specimen collector may face in the field. This section offers 17 true-to-life situations that a collector might face in conducting DOT collections and allows the collector student the opportunity to engage in critical thinking to address these situations.
Module 12 (Train-The-Trainer): In this unit, the student will be provided detailed training and instructions for properly and compliantly running his/her own "Proficiency Demonstration Class". A Trainer Resources page/link and password is provided with all of the necessary forms, documents, and instructions for successfully performing your duties as a Qualified Monitor for other collector trainees.

Specimen Collector Webcam training refunds Terms: If you do not change or cancel your scheduled webcam class date at least five (5) business days in advance, you agree to forfeit the entire fee paid for all online and webcam training purchased. If you wish to reschedule after a no-show, late-show, or attempt to enter a webcam class without all supplies in hand, prerequisites completed, and all technical requirements met, you understand and agree that no refunds will be provided. The full fee must be paid again to reschedule.
If you order training supplies from Certified Training Solutions LLC, you agree that no part of your training fees are refundable, even if you cancel and/or do not complete the course/training. You forfeit your online course fee and the webcam class fee, in addition to the materials fee once the materials are shipped to you.
Train-The-Trainer Courses for BAT, STT, and Collector TERMS & CONDITIONS OF PURCHASE: By purchasing any of Certified Training Solutions’ online and/or webcam or live Train-The-Trainer courses, you agree that you will train only staff/employees within your own company/clinic/facility. In obtaining training/certification from Certified Training Solutions, you also agree that you will purchase a new and separate online course for each person that you train. You agree to pay Certified Training Solutions the following remedy for breach of these terms:
1. $100.00 for each BAT, STT, or Collector online procedures course that you did not purchase for each person you trained, and
2. $300 for each person that you train outside of your own organization/company/facility as either a BAT, STT, or specimen collector.
